Poker No Longer Tolerated in York Pubs
22nd of September 2014
York is getting tough on poker. That is, City of York Council members maintain that the recent spate of illegal poker played in City of York pubs has to end. So the ever-considerate York Council members have sent notice to the pub owners that is a crackdown on illegal poker. It will be a tough decision for pub owners. The poker games often draw a crowd and many pubs run a tight ship when it comes to pub poker. Poker surely brings in new pub patrons and keeps the ale flowing. But the message from the York Council is that pub poker is illegal and that it will have to end or owners will be prosecuted for breaking the law.
